Last Call to Evangelism

“Go therefore and                         of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always even to the end of the age”
What do you see in the Great Commission? 
 Make Disciples-Duplicate 
2 Timothy 2:2 “Able” - hikanos
   Christ spent 3 years (26,280 hours) training His apostles. 
Hebrews 5:12-14; 2 Timothy 2:24-25


  “The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged.” (2 Tim. 2:24) 
   Bond-servant – that is you and me – every Christian is a bond-servant!

   Bond-servant – that is you and me – every Christian is a bond-servant! 
   Not to be quarrelsome – argumentative

   Bond-servant – that is you and me – every Christian is a bond-servant! 
   Not to be quarrelsome – argumentative   
   Abel to teach – Greek word, didaktikos – meaning “skilful in teaching” 
   Notice, twice in this chapter Paul mentions being trained! 
   He used two different Greek words to express it! 

“       therefore and make disciples of all nations,                 them in the name of the Father and Son and the Holy Spirit,                         to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always even to the end of the age”
A Charge to Grow  
   We need to teach New Converts to be more like Christ! 1Peter 2:21-24
   Ephesians 4:23-24; 5:1
  God’s likeness!

 Commitment- Matthew 10:22
Observe is actually two words:
   1. Ob-to see
   2. Serve-to Keep

We Learn Why We Should Keep This Charge!
  Personal Presence- “Lo I will be with you”
  An Abiding Presence- “always” 
  A Victorious Presence- “end of the world”
