Our Preachers

Our Preachers

God gave evangelists for the equipping and building up of the body (Ephesians 4:11–12). Many confuse evangelists with the roles of pastors or ministers. The word "pastor" refers to the elders of the church. Every Christian is a minister, or servant. Evangelists are simply preachers of the gospel. Their job is to "preach the word... in season and out of season" (2 Timothy 4:2–5).

MEET OUR EVANGELISTS

Ryan Goodwin

Ryan began working with the East Shelby congregation in January of 2019. Born and raised in Beaverton, OR, he loves spending time with his four young children (Sterling, Heidi, Bennett, and Mae) and his wife Rebecca, especially engaging in outdoor activities. Ryan is an avid and accomplished long-distance runner, as well. He has been preaching for over twenty years (previously in Arizona, Texas, and Oregon).

He presents sermons and Bible classes every week for East Shelby, striving to make each presentation practical, encouraging, and (most of all) Biblical. In addition, he offers one-on-0ne Bible studies, small group classes, and Bible-based counseling. If you're struggling with sin, looking to bolster your faith or Bible knowledge, or you just need a kind and willing ear, don't hesitate to get in touch with him!

Lee Moore

Lee began working with our congregation in January 2024, previously preaching in Marian, AR. He and his wife Paige are valued workers in God's kingdom and we are thrilled to have them at East Shelby. In addition to preaching, he also regularly teaches classes.
